USA Yes - In the US, you, the employee, can use your final pay stub with the year to date contribution amount to charity. In the US, the final pay stub for the tax year can be used as documentation for a charitable contribution.
UK Yes tax relief is applied from your Gross salary. No documentation is required as Payroll will handle all the relevant notices and legislation.
